I knew Gill the Goliath was going to likely be my largest fish to date when I selected the ice tong handle for his mouth. This simple oval piece of steel was the inspirational spark that became Gill. The rest of him grew from that humble piece of metal.

Gill the Goliath was created with drill bits, circular saw blades, a camshaft, small engine head segments, a horseshoe, large sprocket, motorcycle shock, brake discs, ice tong parts and other bits whose origins escape my mind.
