Blue Lip Louie (or simply Blue Lou to his friends) gets his moniker from the subtle blue that remained after his creation. His mouth originated as a handle segment from a set of old blue tin snips.  Another  blue hue can also be found in the sawblade segments that serve as his fins.

Blue Lip Louie was created using tin snip parts, springs, motorcycle magneto bits, saw blade sections, horseshoe segments, bicycle gears and other bits whose origins escape my mind.
